Thermec 2018

Members of the HTTAL recently attended Thermec 2018 at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris, France. Thermec is an international conference on processing and manufacturing of advanced materials.

Julian O’Flynn presented on “Investigation of heat treatment of metal injection moulded Inconel 718 using differential scanning calorimetry”.

Catherine Whitman presented her invited presentation “Method for optimizing powder selection for metal injection moulding through a determination of evolved gas during thermal de-binding and sintering using thermogravimetric-gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric methods”.

PhD students Eric Moreau, Colin Tadgell, and Addison Rayner along with Masters students Joel Chapman, and Clare MacIsaac presented posters on their respective projects.

Thanks to the organizers for an interesting and informative conference!
